Will I hear the HS2 from my house?
Yes you will almost certainly hear it. I live approx 600m from the Midland Main line, which operates diesel trains at 125mph, electric at 100mph and can hear both. But only if I’m at the front of the house and listening out for it. It isn’t noisy by any definition.
